Administration Policy

PURPOSE

This Sacrament Administration Policy establishes the spiritual principles, procedures, responsibilities, and safety standards governing the administration of sacred sacraments within Cosmic Church.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all sacramental practices are conducted respectfully, responsibly, and in accordance with the Church’s sincerely held religious beliefs, spiritual doctrine, ethical standards, and commitment to Member well-being.

Participation in sacramental practices is a sacred religious act intended to support spiritual growth, self-reflection, healing, community connection, and personal transformation.

1: ELIGIBILITY FOR SACRAMENT PARTICIPATION

Only approved Members of Cosmic Church may participate in sacramental activities.

To be eligible, a Member must:

  • Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Maintain active Church membership.
  • Complete all required membership documents and waivers.
  • Participate in a Church orientation or educational session.
  • Affirm their understanding of Church doctrine, policies, and community standards.
  • Participate voluntarily and without coercion.

The Church reserves the right to postpone or deny participation when doing so is believed to be in the best interest of the Member or community.

2: SPIRITUAL PREPARATION

Members are encouraged to approach sacramental participation with sincerity, respect, and intentionality.

Preparation may include:

  • Prayer
  • Meditation
  • Reflection
  • Journaling
  • Educational study
  • Spiritual counseling
  • Goal and intention setting

Members are encouraged to enter sacramental experiences with a clear spiritual purpose and an attitude of respect toward themselves, others, and the sacred nature of the ceremony.

3: AUTHORIZED SETTINGS FOR PARTICIPATION

Sacramental practices may occur in:

  • Church-sponsored ceremonies
  • Private spiritual observances
  • Individual religious practice
  • Small group gatherings
  • Educational and integration events approved by the Church

All participation environments should be:

  • Safe
  • Respectful
  • Private when appropriate
  • Free from exploitation
  • Supportive of spiritual reflection
  • Consistent with Church doctrine

Church-sponsored group ceremonies shall be supervised by authorized clergy, ministers, facilitators, or designated Church representatives.

4: SACRAMENT ADMINISTRATION GUIDELINES

Sacramental participation should always reflect the religious purpose of Cosmic Church.

Members are expected to:

  • Approach sacramental practices reverently.
  • Follow Church guidelines and educational materials.
  • Exercise personal responsibility.
  • Respect the dignity and safety of all participants.
  • Seek assistance when needed.

The Church encourages Members to educate themselves regarding responsible participation, preparation, and integration practices.

No sacrament may be represented as a recreational product or used in a manner inconsistent with the Church’s spiritual mission.

5: SAFETY STANDARDS

The physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Members is a core priority of Cosmic Church.

Members are encouraged to:

  • Participate only when mentally and emotionally prepared.
  • Utilize trusted support systems when appropriate.
  • Communicate openly with clergy or facilitators regarding concerns.
  • Seek medical assistance whenever necessary.
  • Follow all applicable safety recommendations provided by the Church.

In any emergency situation, Member safety shall take precedence.

Emergency services should be contacted whenever necessary.

6: CONSENT AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Participation in any sacramental activity is entirely voluntary.

All Members acknowledge that:

  • They are responsible for their own decisions.
  • They may decline participation at any time.
  • They may discontinue participation at any time.
  • They are responsible for communicating personal concerns or limitations.

The Church does not compel, pressure, or require participation in any sacramental activity.

7: INTEGRATION AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

Cosmic Church recognizes that meaningful spiritual experiences often benefit from reflection and integration.

Members are encouraged to participate in:

  • Integration circles
  • Community discussions
  • Spiritual counseling
  • Educational workshops
  • Journaling and reflection practices
  • Peer support programs

The purpose of integration is to help Members process experiences, identify personal insights, and apply lessons in a healthy and constructive manner.

8: ETHICAL CONDUCT

All participants, clergy, facilitators, volunteers, and Members shall uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct.

Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment
  • Exploitation
  • Coercion
  • Abuse of authority
  • Discrimination
  • Violations of confidentiality
  • Conduct harmful to participants or the Church community

Violations may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or termination of membership.

9: CONFIDENTIALITY

The Church respects the privacy of its Members.

Information shared during:

  • Spiritual counseling
  • Integration sessions
  • Religious ceremonies
  • Member discussions

shall be treated with respect and confidentiality consistent with Church policy and applicable law.

Members are encouraged to respect the privacy of others and maintain confidentiality regarding personal experiences shared within Church activities.

10: PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

The following activities are prohibited within Cosmic Church:

  • Misrepresentation of Church authority.
  • Unauthorized use of Church property or resources.
  • Conduct that endangers participants.
  • Commercial exploitation of Church ceremonies.
  • Distribution of Church materials without authorization.
  • Activities inconsistent with the Church’s mission and values.

The Church reserves the authority to investigate and address violations.

11: POLICY ENFORCEMENT

Failure to comply with this Sacrament Administration Policy may result in:

  • Verbal warnings
  • Written warnings
  • Temporary suspension
  • Restriction from Church programs
  • Revocation of membership
  • Removal from leadership positions

Disciplinary actions shall be determined by Church leadership or the Board of Directors based upon the circumstances of each matter.

12: ECCLESIASTICAL AUTHORITY

Cosmic Church maintains sole authority over the interpretation, application, and enforcement of this Policy.

All sacramental practices, ceremonies, spiritual programs, and religious observances shall be administered according to the Church’s sincerely held religious beliefs, doctrine, and mission.

Nothing in this Policy shall be interpreted in a manner that conflicts with the Bylaws, Statement of Spiritual Principles, or religious teachings of Cosmic Church.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By participating in Church programs and activities, Members acknowledge that they have received, reviewed, and agreed to comply with this Sacrament Administration Policy.
